Last updated: May 1, 2026 ·  Effective: May 1, 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information Lucy AI, Inc. collects, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have.

1. Introduction

Lucy AI, Inc. ("Lucy AI," "Lucy," "we," "us," or "our") provides an AI software platform with chat, governed memory, project continuity, file analysis, creative tools, and related AI-powered workflows. This Privacy Policy applies to our website at trylucy.ai, our application, and any related products or services that link to this policy. By using Lucy AI, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including: account information, such as name, email address, login provider, and optional profile details; messages, prompts, project information, files, attachments, and other content you submit; memory entries, preferences, project context, and related personalization information; support messages, feedback, survey responses, and other communications with us; and billing information, subscription status, plan information, and payment-related records processed through our payment provider. We may also collect information automatically, including IP address, device and browser information, operating system, pages or screens viewed, feature usage, timestamps, error logs, approximate location derived from technical information, and referral, campaign, or signup source data.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to: provide, operate, and maintain Lucy AI; personalize responses and preserve continuity across sessions; provide memory, project, file, and workflow features; process payments, subscriptions, credits, invoices, and account changes; provide support and respond to requests; improve product performance, reliability, and user experience; understand usage, activation, retention, and feature adoption; detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or misuse; enforce our Terms of Service; and comply with legal obligations.

4. Memory and Personalization

Lucy AI may use memory, preferences, project context, and related information to provide more useful and personalized responses over time. Depending on the feature, memory may be created from information you provide, approve, edit, or save. You may be able to review, edit, delete, or disable certain memory features through the Service. Deleting a memory may prevent it from being used in future responses. Some backup, audit, security, or legal retention records may remain for a limited period where required or permitted by law.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Lucy AI. We process your content to provide the Service, including generating AI responses, maintaining projects, storing memory where enabled, analyzing files, and supporting related workflows. We do not sell your personal information or stored memories.

6. AI Model Processing

Lucy AI uses artificial intelligence models and related service providers to generate responses and operate AI features. Your messages, files, and related context may be processed by AI model providers or infrastructure providers as necessary to provide the Service. Where available, we configure and contract with providers to limit use of customer data for training their general models. Lucy AI does not use your private conversations or stored memories to train public foundation models without your consent. Because AI providers and configurations may change over time, you may contact privacy@trylucy.ai for current information about our AI processing practices.

7. Payment Processing

Payments, subscriptions, invoices, and credit purchases may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Payment information is handled by our payment provider according to its own security and privacy practices. We may store payment-related metadata, such as plan, subscription status, invoice status, credit balance, renewal date, and transaction history.

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to: keep you signed in; remember preferences; secure sessions; analyze usage; improve the Service; and understand referrals and campaign performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

9. How We Share Information

We may share information with: cloud hosting, storage, infrastructure, and security providers; AI model and inference providers; payment processors; analytics and product monitoring providers; customer support and communications providers; professional advisors, such as legal, accounting, or security advisors; law enforcement, regulators, courts, or government authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security; and a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information.

10. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption, access controls, tenant isolation, logging, and security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect user information and reduce unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure.

11. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and operate security or audit systems. Different types of data may have different retention periods. For example, account records, billing records, security logs, support records, memories, files, and project data may be retained for different lengths of time. When you delete information or close your account, we will delete, de-identify, or restrict use of personal information as required by law and consistent with our operational, legal, security, and backup obligations.

12. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to: access personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; request a portable copy of certain information; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and opt out of certain promotional communications. To exercise privacy rights, contact privacy@trylucy.ai. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

13. Promotional Communications

We may send product updates, launch announcements, onboarding messages, or promotional communications. You may opt out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us. We may still send transactional or administrative messages, such as billing, account, security, or policy notices.

14. Children's Privacy

Lucy AI is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact privacy@trylucy.ai and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

15. International Users

Lucy AI is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from those in your location.

16. Third-Party Links and Integrations

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites, services, tools, or platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Their use of your information is governed by their own policies.

17. Business Transfers

If Lucy AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service, by email, or by another reasonable method. The updated policy will be effective as of the date stated at the top.
